2015 Emmy Awards

Awards season is back!  I did miss the VMA's but oh well...

I thought, overall, everyone looked pretty good last night.  There were a surprising number of women in black - but, then again, black never really goes out of style.  I only thought two black gowns were good enough for my list though.

The heat was sweltering last night.  I really felt bad for all those guys in tuxedos!

But...beauty is pain!  On to the list...

Best Dressed

#10  Allison Janney

This woman is 55!!  I can only pray to look this good at 55.  The "Mom" winner looks fantastic!

Wearing La Bourjoisie

# 9 Julie Bowen

The "Modern Family" actress is one of the two black gown to make the list.  I love the asymmetrical neckline and the green accents are gorgeous.

# 8 Claire Danes

I love the purple.  I love the chains.  I hate the hair on the "Homeland" nominee.  I think it really ages her.  But, the rest of her looks fantastic!

# 7 Sofia Vergara

Sofia looks amazing in her gold gown.  The "Modern Family" actress really knows what works on her.  I would love for her to try a different neckline other than strapless.  Maybe a halter or off the shoulder?

I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, but I have to admit that she looks amazing!  The outfit isn't crazy.  The make-up is toned down.  Maybe she'll do a Nicki Minaj and start to tone it down.  It works for Nicki!  She's been killing it lately.

This color and cut looks fantastic!  You can't see the shoes, but they were yellow Stuart Weitzman's that peeked out from the slit in her skirt. Some of the "Orange Is The New Black" actress' outfits haven't quite hit the mark, but this one is amazing.

Laverne's OITNB co-star looks unbelievable in this hot pink gown.  (Pink was a big color last night.)  She is glowing in her off the shoulder dress.

The "Scandal" actress is killing this gown!  The metal and mesh dress looks like it would have been hot last night though but she looks fantastic.

I was thisclose to crowning the "How To Get Away With Murder" EMMY WINNER best dressed.  She looks amazing and is so deserving of her win.  HTGAWM is one show I never miss.

The "Modern Family" actress is killing it in this wine-colored gown.  I absolutely love the off the shoulder dress.  Her make-up is flawless and she actually managed to not look like she was sweating in the heat last night.

This dress, while better than some she has worn in the past, is not doing any favors to the "Mad Men" actress.  The material looks heavy which is just adding bulk to her voluptuous frame.

This gown is blah.  Blah color...no jewelry...it's just not working for me.  The comedienne can do better than this.

The gown has movement, but that isn't making up for this unfortunate mash-up of colors.  The electric blue is amazing.  I wish the "OITNB" actress would have just stuck to that color.

The "Game of Thrones" actress missed the mark with this gown.  The color is great but the waistline is adding bulk where no one wants bulk.

This is just not pretty.  The former "Who's The Boss" star looks like she is covered in an old couch pattern.  Also, the eye make-up is way too heavy.

The fourth and last "OITNB" actress to make my list almost had it.  The red gown is gorgeous with her dark hair and fair skin.  The gold cover-up just killed this gown.

The "Parks & Recreation" actress is just being weighed down by this gown.  The pattern and fabric looks very heavy and not at all flattering.

The "Transparent" director, and Emmy winner, looks ridiculous in this suit.  The all over polka dots and platform shoes are not working.

The model is so beautiful.  This gown is so not!  Too Big Bird-ish and too many things going on here.
