The Bell Witch Haunting ~ Movie Review

I gave this movie 3 stars but for the movie only...It was a decent movie.  It is listed as a horror, but I didn't find it very scary but that might just be my jaded mind that has seen a lot of horror movies.  The story was okay in and of itself but - as someone who lives in Tennessee - I can tell you a few things:

~ While it is sometimes warm in January - it is nowhere near swimming weather in an outdoor pool.

~ There are no palm trees in Tennessee either.

There only seems to be one policeman in the town of Adams - and he is the most unlucky policeman ever to have to respond to all of these strange calls night after night.

If you want me to believe this movie was based in TN - please make sure to edit out the palm trees and have your party at a bowling alley or a skating rink instead of a pool party in January.

2014 SAG Awards ~ A Fashion Review

I actually missed this award show - oops!  Thankfully, I was able to catch up on all the fashion online.  Here are the top 5 best and worst dressed - in my opinion:

The Worst Dressed

#5  Personally, I love this dress...from the knees up.  I think this dress fits so much better than her Globes dress and I think the embellishment is really beautiful but the fold under her knees is hideous.   I'm not sure what is going on there.  Also, I've got to slam her shoe choice.  I'm sorry.  I know they're probably more comfortable - and I know that they're Christian Louboutin - but that's no excuse for sandals on the red carpet.

#4  The color on this gown is beautiful but the bib reminds me of those plastic bibs that the seafood restaurants hand out so you don't get lobster or crab juices on your clothes.  Without that - this could have been so much better.

#3  This gown just has way too much going on for me to like this.  Carolina Herrera is usually known for the more classic styles - so this is just confusing for me.

#2  No.  Just no.  Too short.  Too tight.  Not SAG Awards worthy.  Grammy's?  Maybe - SAG's - Never.  Ugh...

#1  The fact that I can't find a designer listed anywhere for this dress should be - as my dad loves to say - a clue.  Unless this dress is made by your BFF who has just found out he/she has a month to live and her dream is to have one of her creations worn on TV - you should never ever wear something that looks like this.  Especially to an award show.  Ever.

The Best Dressed

#5  Beautiful.  Polished.  Gorgeous.  She doesn't go to a lot of red carpet events any more and is relishing in her mommy role (love).  But when she dresses up like this - it reminds us of how beautiful she is.

#4  I liked her Globes dress.  A lot of people didn't.  They thought it was boring or ugly or too similar to her Oscar dress from last year.  Any way...she totally went in a different direction with this gown and it is fabulous!

#3  This is just beautiful.  Really ethereal and soft.  I really like this.

#2  She hit another home run with this gown.  Once again, the color is amazing on her skin.  The turquoise really pops.  Absolutely gorgeous!!

#1  This is the type of gown I was waiting for at the Globes last week.  One that just took my breath away.  This one did that.  Some are saying too bridal - but I don't think so.  Just stunning from head to toe.
