Dead in the Water (2002)
I so wish Netflix had an "It was OK" rating. I didn't necessarily not like it (2 stars) - but I didn't like it either (3 stars). So...here I can give it 2 1/2 stars. The twist at the end redeemed it some. The characters were pretty wooden and the dialogue seemed forced. I was expecting a little more from Henry Thomas (E.T.) Definitely not his best role.
The Cottage (2012)
I am a big David Arquette fan so this is almost painful to write...but this was not good. It was slow and the characters were wooden and very two-dimensional. I felt the whole cult part was not explained efficiently as were the roles of the daughters. It was just lacking. There just seemed to be sections missing from the plot. I can see where they were going - I just don't think they got there.
Twixt (2011)
Not bad. It definitely isn't what you expect from a Francis Ford Coppola movie. The Godfather this isn't. Very low budget but Val Kilmer's impressions were hilarious during his writing scene. I actually re-winded and watched that part again. Bruce Dern was typically manic - but that was ok. It worked here.
